Year 6 Applications

Admissions to year 7 from September 2027.

If your child is due to transfer from a primary or junior school to Year 7 at a secondary school in Bridgend for September 2027, you must complete a school admission application(s).

In order to apply for a place at Archbishop McGrath, you must complete two application forms:

1. Apply directly to the school using this link: AMG Application Form Sept 2027 Start

2. You must also apply for a place via the BCBC online application. If you have already signed up to ‘My Account’ on the Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) website, you will need to log in and you can then complete an online application for a secondary school place.

If you have not already signed up to My Account, you can create your account from the Bridgend County Borough Council website. All you need is an email address. It is quick and easy to apply for a Year 7 secondary school place through My Account and you can have peace of mind knowing that your application has been received because once you have submitted the application, this will be indicated in your My Account summary information.

The online application works equally well on PC, tablet device or mobile phone. Before you complete an application, please read the documents on the website: www.bridgend.gov.uk/schooladmissions

BCBC online applications will be available through My Account from Monday, 14 September 2026 at 10am. Please note that the deadline date for completed applications is Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 4pm. Parents/Carers are welcome to complete the school application form once it goes live.

Failure to submit an application by this date and time may result in your child being refused a place at our school.
