Holocaust Memorial Service

AMG Choir perform as part of the Holocaust Memorial Service at Bridgend Police HQ.

On Friday 27th Jan 2023, the school choir were invited to take part in the holocaust memorial service, conducted annually at the police HQ in bridgend. The service joined many around the world in remembering those who have suffered and died during the last world war. A stark reminder to seek peace above all else, especially as those commissioned to serve others both in the police force and in education. It was a moving service involving and address by the Chief Constable, poems of holocaust survivors and thoughts from religious community representatives. The school choir also performed 3 pieces of music to fit in with the theme of remembrance.

Many thanks go to Deacon and Police Chaplain Robert Coyne, for organising and arranging then event, and also to Miss Leeke for practising with and conducting the choir.

Lastly many thanks to all the choir members who represented the school so respectfully and well during the service, and sang so beautifully during the performances.
